The Final stretch

The final stretch is now here. Next Friday is the hand in for Off The Map so there has been a lot of grafting this week to make sure that everything is ready.

This week Dan has been fixing up his assets and importing them into the level. He also managed to fix the hedges that he made and has scattered them through the garden part of the level. The issue with the hedges was that he creating the alpha maps for the leaves as separate maps and as a result the leaves were brighter than the rest of the hedge.

As well as this he found out that several assets he created we already textured during Easter and just forgotten about. These assets were the broken stone walls and lamps. Moving on from this he fixed the bridges he made a while ago and made them look more magical through substance painter and an emissive map.

Ayden meanwhile has managed to reduce the levels size greatly and created so much space that the level is now portable again. Not only this he has also added new features to the garden level and created more normal maps for assets such as pillars and stone floors. In addition to this Ayden has also played around with speed tree to create a forest on the border of the garden. This will need to be extended later.

Meanwhile Kathryn has been creating her character for the level. This week she has modelled, unwrapped and textured the characters hair. As well as this she has also created some more assets for the garden in Zbrush and 3DS Max.
